From early spring through late fall the fishing on Cave Run Lake is excellent.  Early spring look for fabulous Musky action as well as Largemouth Bass and Crappie.  Starting around the first full moon in May the bluegill fishing is awesome.  You can expect very good Musky fishing most of the year.

Besides all of the attractions of the Daniel Boone National Forest, the famous Musky fishery Cave Run Lake is the center of our guiding activities when the Turkey season is closed. Our guides spend hundreds of hours fishing for Musky, Bass and Crappieand have a very high success rate. For one of the most exciting times ever, give our Turkey/Musky combo a try. You won’t be dissappointed.

Many types of accomodations are available. Choose from camping, cabins, small Motels as well as large Chain Motels in nearby Morehead. Restaurants around the lake area consist of mostly smaller places and the grocery type stores which have excellent sanwiches, pizza etc. Morehead has several major chain type restaurants as well as most of the comman fast food chains. Morehead is in a “wet” County. The rest of the area is “dry”.

Camping, hiking, boating, hunting and fishing as well as seasonal activities in nearby Morehead, provide something for every member of your family. No matter where your interests lie, there are activities for everyone here. We feel like the people in our area are some of the friendliest folks found anywhere.
